Angles and Squares

This is my first finish for 2021!   Due to this quilt hanging in our foyer, this is the best photo that I can get of it.

A different angle.
Close-ups of the quilting which is called Late Bloomer by Christy Dillon of My Creative Stitches.  Since there are so many white areas in the quilt, I wanted the quilting to show and the green thread shows off the design quite nicely.

Quilt Details:
Top started:  April 2006
Top finished:  August 2020
Quilt finished:  March 2021
Source:  From a book called "A Thread Runs Through It" by Barbara Dieges
Block Name:  6" Cotton Reel
Size:  91-1/2" x 92" (top size before quilting and washing:  96" x 96")
Batting:  Hobbs 80/20 cotton/poly
Machine Quilted by:  Kathy Wareham of Kat's Quilts

This quilt was quilted late last year, but I finally got around to putting the binding on this week.

Perfect timing to hang this quilt for the month of March as it brings a fresh look to my decor.  The temps are just above freezing and the snow is melting.  Spring is around the corner.

Cherish your day, cherish your life!

Oh yes - I remember seeing this one, it's good to see it finished! The quilting compliments the design beautifully.

This quilt design does have a fresh look and the quilting looks like spring. It's a perfect first finish for the new year. It goes well with the other quilt on the railing.
