Hexie panels

Yeah, at last ..... my hexie panels are done.  I started making the hexies Apr. 6 and put in the last stitch last night.  Not bad!
You can now see what the flowers will look like in between each panel.  I'm very happy with how it looks.  The job of prepping the leaves and stems is now taking place.

Two days ago, we had the remnants of Cristobal come through and with it came wind and rain and a change in temperature.  Tonight, it is supposed to go down to 1C (33.8F).  Chilly weather for a few more days and then it will start to climb up again.  As long as we don't get frost (there is a frost advisory for tonight), we will be ok.  Today, I went and did groceries and was sure glad to have on a warm jacket.

Cherish your day, cherish your life!

What a great accomplishment! The applique blocks are going to be beautiful with it.

That's a ton of hexies. You've been stitching like crazy to have gotten all of this done since April. Great and awesome job!

I love separating those hexie panels that way. This will really be a one-of-a-kind treasure.
