A Few Finishes

I'm quite pleased that there are a couple finishes to share today.

First finish are these leg warmers.  Yes, I know, I know ..... a bit late in the season as we are finally rolling into nicer weather.  At least, come fall, these will be ready to wear to help keep my legs warm.  There is enough yarn in the big ball, so another pair are ongoing now.  Maybe, I just might have two pairs ready to wear come fall?   For knitting, I did have to change my usual method to accommodate my hands and this new method works for me for now.  In the past, I could easily knit for an hour, but now after 5 minutes, a break is needed.  Things are just slowing down now.  Same with quilting.  On the bright side, at least I can still do these things!

Next finish is this teapot placemat.  This was my night quilting guild challenge and so glad that this is done and ready to show at next meeting.  The back has a green leafy fabric which will be perfect for Xmas.  My plan is to have the teapot showing for the June potluck meeting and for the Xmas potluck meeting, I will just simply flip the placemat over and viola, perfect for Xmas.

So, two finishes for the month of May.  Yeah!

Then, not to be outdone, this top is finally together.  Outer borders need to be added as soon as I find the teal blue fabric that was used for the HST's.  It is somewhere in my studio and a cleanup is in progress so that fabric can be located.  Can you see all of the scrappy blocks that were made?  I'm very happy using up all those scraps.
Now, about the cleanup ..... as fabric is being sorted and reorganized ..... you know, squirrels could be happening again.  As I'm sorting the fabrics, ideas are popping up in my brain and I know what is about to happen.  So many, many gorgeous fabrics to play with and they just have to be used in something, right?!

Binding is happening on a quilt, so perhaps next post that quilt can be shown?

Cherish your day, cherish your life, cherish your freedom and cherish your country.  My country will always, always be CANADA!

Elbows up, eh!

BTW, comments can't be responded to.  I've been able to reply to some, but notifications are coming back to me that some can't be delivered.  So, if you comment and don't hear back from me ..... that is the reason why.
