Vintage sheets

While at the cottage last week, my sister and I have been sorting through the cupboards and we had quite a few sheets that were not necessary to keep any longer.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with them yet .... but you can be sure there is a quilt in their future!  :o)

Have a great day!

What an interesting collection of vintage sheets....they are popular at present!

I'd be leery if you plan on hand quilting. Many years ago I put a piece of an old sheet in a cushion top that I was just quilting and it was horrid to try to get through. I don't know what the thread count was but I vowed not to use a sheet again unless I was machine quilting.
Good luck with whatever you do with them.

Nice idea to reuse the vintage sheets in quilts!

I have never used sheets in a quilt but most that I have are cotton/polyester mix. I turned some into tablecloths just because they don't need ironing and can take the hard use.

I have heard the same thing about hand quilting thru sheets the thread count can make it difficult. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
