Back to my happy place .... EPP!

I have been busy working on this EPP again.  There is something about it .... I just can't set it down.

This striped motif was carefully fussy cut and sewn together, but while I liked it, it was sort of mummmm ....
It looked washed out when added to the other large motifs.
So, back to more fussy cutting and this motif emerged.  Better!
Yes, it helped to ground the pieces together.  I can move forward again.
This is a before (on the left) and after.  Huge difference.
Another motif with more fussy cutting.
This is where it is at right now.  Happy, happy, happy!
Have a great day!

This is heading in a great direction. Glad to watch your progress. I am doing appliqué and I have a hard time putting it down.

I agree about the stripes not being as interesting as the other designs. Several years ago I made an EPP star project. I never liked the striped fabric ones as the beautiful flowers that I was able to create. This is looking so beautiful!

You have a good eye. The second block looks like it belongs and makes sense with the surrounding blocks. It’s goong to be a lovely quilt.
