Early mornings were misty mornings.
During the week, the lake was quiet for little ones learning to kayak. This was also a good time to go out on a paddle board.
Amongst all family members coming and going, a bit of sewing did get done. This is a new project. Almost Amish is the name. Enough leaves have been prepped to make another 14 of these blocks. 
Two more sections got sewn together for my split apple core. 
Before taking off to the cottage, I did spend a few days in Toronto with Debra. We went to the quilt show at Black Creek Village. The village is my favourite venue to see a quilt show. I'm going again next year. Red and white quilts will be the theme and how special that will be to help celebrate Canada's 150th birthday.

Your lake pictures look divine - I'm sure "bliss" describes each moment you spend there. I have a question about the quilt you have pictured in your header, as I have just finished one which is very similar. I always have referred to it as "6-point star" but I'm confident it has other names. You can see mine at Jayne's Quilting Room blog. Thanks!
Your cottage is in a beautiful peaceful spot, I love it......but I bet the water isn't ~quite~ warm! "Almost Amish" looks very interesting.
summer at the lake…good for quilting, thinking and reading and then of course the best of all afternoon naps
My kind of vacation - great applique. Blue and green is a favorite combination for me.
