A bit of quilting is getting done, but not as much since the warmer weather has arrived. Gardening has taken over as well as mask making again for family. This virus is not going away and we will need more masks to wash and wear.
My hexie project is making good progress when I sit down to watch some t.v. Soon, I will be able to start working on the flower sections.
The left side and middle have many rows to assemble in centre of each panel (see the white zig zag lines). Above and below those lines, the rows are complete. The right side just needs the two sections to be sewn together. So progress is happening, but ever so slowly.
This quilt has come back from the LAer and needs a binding sewn on.
I'm in a ho hum kind of mood and seem to have lost my sewing mojo.
For those of you who follow my blog, my sister had her surgery for colon cancer and is in recovery. It was caught early, so that is good news. Next up for me is to help her get a needle every day for a blood thinner. For 28 days. That is something that I've never done and I'm sure it will be stressful the first time I do it, but has to be done. Tomorrow, I will facetime with the hospital nurse for instructions on how to. Should be interesting and another thing that I can tick off my bucket list (even though it was never on it).
So .....

Snow, snow go away!
This is what we woke up to this morning ..... we are so tired of snow! Still, snow or rain is welcome because we didn't have a whole lot of snow over the winter and the prediction for forest fires this summer is real. Still ......
In case any of you are wondering what the flags are for, they are there to indicate that bulbs were planted in the fall and we should start to see some spring flowers coming up .... hopefully! LOL The flags will stay there until we finish doing whatever planting has been done and then that should be it for planting. Our hill just gets better and better every year.

This is where I'm at with my hexie project. All the hexies have been made and after a few tweaks here and there for colour placement, the sewing together of rows has commenced. All the three panels are being worked on simultaneously so that I won't feel like this project will take forever to finish. By the time I get to the top, all the panels will be done and then the work on the flower sections can start.
On a scary note, my sister was diagnosed with colon cancer. For those of you who think they should have a colonoscopy, do it NOW! Don't wait!
