Getting my borders on!

Those who have been reading my blog for a while now know that I procrastinate when it comes to getting borders onto my quilts.  That is truly one process that I don't like at all.  Anyway, that is a personal goal for me to overcome and this top will be the first of many.

One border is on:
Next border ... this striped brown fabric.  How much do I love this striped fabric?  So much so, that I went out and bought more of it.  This fabric was first used in this quilt and since my top has pinwheels .... well .... what better fabric to use?
Ta da ..... borders are on and this top will be ready for quilting ..... at some point.  Just one more top to add to the battered old trunk where it will wait its' turn for quilting.
It was from this magazine cover that I got inspired to make this top.  I saw it advertised in another magazine, clipped the photo out and put it in my one-day wish pile to do.  Yeah, I can cross that one off my list.  :o)

Have a great day!

I always fizzle out when I get to the borders too. Your pinwheels look fantastic.

Pinwheels are just about my favorite block and set on point is even better! Your brown border is perfect. Great quilt.

I love pineheels. My last quilt was a 3d pin wheel for my 7th great grand son.

I think I would want to quilt that one right away so I could have it to admire. The border is perfect.

I love the setting of these pinwheels; it's something similar to what I am hoping to do with some pinwheel swap blocks I am collecting. I wondered about making HST blocks in between the pinwheels but I see your pinwheels are each put on point. Yours has made me even more determined to finish mine this way now :-) I also love your stripe border - very apt.
