I’m waiting ….

Here is a WIP/UFO that has been sitting around for far too long now. I do have others in the same state just waiting and waiting and waiting. On Saturday, Debra sent me an email asking me if this quilt got finished and she would love to see a photo of it. I brought over a couple of quilts to her home (Debra and I live in the same suburb of Toronto) to show her what I had been up to ….. that was a few years ago.

Sad to say, it still is not finished. My problem is jumping onto new projects before my older ones get finished. A lot of you can identify with that problem …. right! I just get bored too easily and need to work on new projects. Joining a couple of challenges to finish UFO’s helped a lot and I did get a number of older projects finished. It just didn’t clear them all up.

This year, I didn’t sign up for the current challenge that is being held for the entire year. I should have signed up but didn’t.

That has made me visit my list of projects and to my surprise there are 25 projects started and all in different stages. Surely, amongst these projects there is enough interest there to keep me hopping from those projects instead of starting a new project.

So, one of these days, I will get back to working on this beauty and get it finished. Hang in there, Debra. :o)

Have a great day!

That will be spectacular when it is done. I can see why you can't waork on it continuously. That's a lot of pinwheels.

Wow! This is a real eye-catcher. As for UFO's in various stages, well, I'm kind of into it. I don't know. I can't help myself and it just makes me happy I guess.

This one will turn into a beautiful quilt. Keep working on it! It would be a pity if you dont finish it soon.

That is a beauty! The UFO's? Well, I like having a "controlled" number of them so I don't get bored and start something new. ROFLOL Now that I've picked myself up off the floor -- who am I kidding? I get ideas and just have to make a block or two and there's the beginning of another UFO!! This year I'm going to try to turn those blocks or two into table runners or other useful items and not have them stacking up like planes over Pearson!
I think I need deadlines to stick with some things sometimes!

It is an awesome quilt, and you will love it when it's done! But all that matchy matchy with the pinwheels - yup, I'd need a break too:)

That will be gorgeous when it's done but there are a LOT of little triangles to do!

Hang in there. I have 35 UFO's. You will finish them one day.

This one will be beautiful.

It is very nice...and you should finish it....but I sure know what you mean. I used to keep my UFO's somewhat under control until I started blogging, and now I see one project after another I want to do! At least I am having fun.

Finish it! You have so much done already and it is beautiful! Somehow, try and think of it as a new project so you'll get motivated to finish it. We'll be waiting for an update. LOL

Every UFO has to be left for a while to mature just like a fine wine, doesn't it? It will be beautiful when it's finished. My excuse for having UFOs is "you can't rush genius".

Oh yes Rose Marie - you must finish this - amazing. I'm on a bit of a UFO finishing up mission. I'm sure it won't last though...

I have the same problem. Your quilt top is fantastic. You are so close to finishing. Let's see it done. Love the sashing.

What a beautiful quilt. I do the same thing with projects so I can understand. I'm sure you'll get it finished at some point, there is so much of it already done.

It's gorgeous and deserves to be a complete quilt! I hope it gets some additional pinwheels very soon. I can certainly with this scenerio.

Just to add some encouragement - that will be a spectacular quilt! I totally understand about UFO's - and having completion of some as a challenge is a great idea. I have 3 going to the beach with me tomorrow that only need binding sewn down now so I expect progress to be made there! That will reduce my UFO's to 15, plus the one I started two days ago! Keeps us from getting bored doesn't it?
