Been busy ....

.... well .... almost. I had just finished pinning one section of this top and had flipped up the other section to smooth out the backing and batting that were hanging down on the right hand side of the table. Miss Ashes was ticked off with me about something and after moving her x number of times off the table, I just gave up and worked on something else. Eventually, she moved and I was able to complete pinning this top together. Cats .... don't you just love them to bits? :o) Right now, I'm auditioning border fabrics for this top. That plaid is just yummy.

Does this top really need this red inner border? Hmmm, will have to think about this.

Have a great day!

YES to the red border, it makes the piecing just pop.

Love the plaid. I like the red too, just maybe half the width. A little red goes a long way I think.

Definitely yes on the red. Your cat is too funny. Can you believe how they all have us wrapped around their little paw?

I thinks it DOES need the red but in a smaller amount. Have you considered a flange? Here's a tutorial on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DapTlyxKuY8

Love the quilt...both looks good but I do like it better with just the blue border...

The red border is a good idea, but perhaps a little narrower or even a softer colour red? Had to laugh at Miss Ashes!

My vote is yes to the red border. I think it adds to the quilt.

Nikko is trying very hard to learn to speak "cat". I'm sure she would love to become am interpreter and she understands the word "off".
I like the quilt with just the blue. If you use the red, I'd say less is better. In the end, you have only yourself to satisfy.

What about a red flange instead of the full border? You would get a touch of red but not too much so you would see the color to make the blocks pot but not a lot of it.

Ohh I don't know for sure but I like the softness of just blue I reckon. Either way is lovely though, Rose Marie. I'm smiley this morning seeing Miss Ashes participating in the process. I think her contributions will really make the work more refined. hee!!! :)

I actually like both for different reasons. The blue gives it a softer harmonious look and the red brings some zing to the mix! Which ever you decide it will be lovely.

I think I would go with just the blue but if you love red I'm with the suggestions of a thin strip or flange. No matter which it's a winner.

Love the plaid border fabric. The quilt looks good with or without the red border. Nice work.
