Reveal ...
This is what Miss Hank would not let me show you. She finally moved off the tray! :o) Stars, stars and more stars. I'm doing these by the English Paper Piecing method and it is working like a charm for me. My scrap bins got raided to make these stars. Bonus. This is the layout for this hanging. I love that striped blue fabric for my sashings. It came from a thrift store shirt and has some poly in it. It works for me in this hanging.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and hope you have a blessed day.. LOL
Well happy birthday, friend! I have to say I can see why Miss Hank was being so stingy. I'd want to hold out on the unveiling, too! This is a really unrivalled bit of work here, Rose Marie. Unrivalled!
Your stars are just gorgeous! I LOVE that you are "recycling" old shirts. My friends make fun of me because I save my hubby's and sons' old boxers -- they're 100% cotton, and the legs split out on 'em -- but they are perfectly wonderful plaids for a quilt! LOL (and YES they are WASHED! LOL)
Happy Birthday (your husband sounds like a keeper! :-D)
Blessings,
Mary Lou
I noticed you use a blue crayola marker to mark your quilting line. Does that come out of fabric and if so, how do you remove it?? I keep buying the fabric pens but they dry out so fast.
A very Happy Birthday. Yay for cotton polyester. If it works, why not use it.
Happy Birthday Rose Marie! Hope you have a wonderful day. Enjoy your lunch! I love your stars!

I love your star in a circle block. Looks like a lot of prep, but they sure come out nice

Nice job on the hand piecing. Isn't it a great feeling to be able to complete UFO's? Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
I really like those 5-pointed stars...and your piecing looks so beautiful and accurate...I'm drooling! I'm such a blue/green person that your colors are really speaking to me.
A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope it was happy!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
Happy Birthday!
I tried to set up a computer template similar to your stars above, but I found I had to shrink down the middle pentagon to get all the pieces to line up properly.
did you find you had to do the same thing? or did you use a template from a book? just curious...cause I have a feeling I suck at math.
Belated Happy Birthday!
i love your stars & the colours. i too re-purpose thrift store finds & am glad i'm not the only one. have a great birthday.
