Turning Leaves again

Park City Girl is having another on-line quilt festival and this is my entry. I showed this a few years ago and the time is right to show it again. Fall is definitely in the air here in Canada ..... the night time temps are below 10C and daytime tems are in the low teens. Colours are changing all the time.
This quilt was given away to a niece and each time I look at the photo, I am thinking of making another for myself. The leaves are hand appliqued and the quilt is hand quilted.
So enjoy this quilt again and check out all the other quilts that are entered here.
Have a great day!
Pattern Source: Quiltmaker magazine, September/October 2002, No. 87
Quilt Size: 54" x 70" ... a nice size to cuddle under and stay warm.

What a beautiful quilt! The quilting is wonderful - thanks for showing the back :0) I wish my Canadian weather was like yours. Here in my part of Canada we have snow on the ground and below 0 temperatures.

I used to have the pattern for that block. Wanted to make a quilt but never did. Your quilt is certainly appropriate for the season. Good luck! I am sure you will get lots of votes.

Thanks so much for the nice comment you left on my blog.
I think your autumn leaves quilt is spectacular. I love that it is all done by hand, and your woodsy setting shows it off so nicely.

Woah. I don't know what words to use with this amazing hand quilted beauty. I'm never surprised at the quality of your work. Some things I even have a pic of in my "someday dreamy" file for inspiration. But somehow seeing this one makes me really pretty much at a loss for any good adjectives. Yours finally speechless, *karendianne.

I love the quilting pattern in the outer border...I do that same one frequently (I draft a triangle, size according to need, mark it with chalk, echo twice, then bridge the gap with a couple of arcs). It's so cool to see it somewhere else!

The front, of course, is beautiful as well!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

RoseMarie your quilts are just all so beautiful. How can you bear to part with them? How many charm packs do you buy from each range? Do you use these for all kinds of shapes or just divide them equally into squares/rectangles/triangles? Do you end up with any wastage or scraps? Thanks for the links to the quilt festival. Lots of eye candy here.

This is the perfect fall quilt. Those leaves are beautiful!

I like how you capture the sense of startling colored leaves against the fall sky that is often so bright and clear and blue and startling too. Really unique and lovely and I think the fact that you gave it away is very special. I find the back is as pretty as the front, in a whole different way of course.
