Then, Gudrun surprised me with a package. I have been expecting a bag/bucket to arrive and thought at first she was my secret partner. Nope …. she just sent me goodies for just being a friend. Gudrun has been having a few problems starting her big hand quilting project and she asked me for help. That is what friends are for and I was very happy to help her. Don’t you just love the wee hanging that she embroidered? It is now hanging on my bulletin board in my studio. Gudrun included a bag of chocolate covered raisins (the bag is half full now) and serviettes.
Thank you, ladies …… you two have made my week.

Gudrun's gift is a wonderful reminder of her homeland and the stitchery she made for you is straight from her heart. She values friends so much! I like the poster too. I think I should add a bulletin board to my sewing room. A good place to keep cards and reminders of quilting friends.
What great gifts! The little stitchery is wonderful -- and love the hanger!! The blanket toss is adorable.
What a delightful week you have had - isn't it great to get presents in the post rather than bills and just lovely to get unexpected gifts from family who know what you LOVE. I have to agree with Kate and also consider a bulletin board for my room when its ready to use - a great place for items of encouragement, love and inspirition.
I am glad you are my friend.
Fabulous gifts! I have not had chocolate covered raisens in forever, I will gladly finish the bag for you. LOL. Friends are amazing and so special!
Rose Marie, you have had a good week, so many lovely treats..
The stitchery is a very nice reminder of how wonderful friends can be. what is a serviette?
That pincushion is TOO cute!!! Lovely gifts...Gudrun is a very special lady!
Enjoy the lovely gifts you have recieved. They are delightful. I have read about the blanket toss so know what that is.
Hope Gudrun's quilt works out, she is a kind lady.
Such lovely gifts! And such a cute little pin cushion. Lucky you! There are some good little quilt shops in Alaska - but not much in the Yukon for what I could find.
Lovely treats you got!
Those raisins are yummy! I know!
