Love Is ....

.... being worked on again. This project has never been shown here before and I guess it is about time it came off the shelf so that you can see what it looks like. This was a free BOM offered by this lady. Unfortunately, it is no longer available for free but can be purchased from her website. After all the blocks were assembled into a top, now it is the embroidery that is being worked on.

This is what the back looks like. Yes, I am embroidering with the batting in place. It is a bit harder and a tad awkward to embroider with the top and batting like this. It is manageable, though and I have developed a method to embroider with a bit of bulk in my hand.

Thank you so much for your comments on my last post. It was very interesting to see the effect that a small red strip in the border had on some of you. I'm still undecided on which way to go. So for now, that top will stay on my design wall to let me ponder on which way to go.

Have a great day!

That's a sweet quilt, I love the setting! Another red, white and blue quilt, hmmm.....is there a pattern here? I can remember those cute little "Love is......" drawings from a very very longtime ago, they featured a pair of lovers.

This is a lovely quilt design and I am totally intrigued with the idea of embroidery on the batting!
