Baskets are tops

I'm very happy with this version .... once all quilted up, it will be a lovely summer quilt. DH wanted me to hang this up in our dining room right away even though it is not finished. Soon it will come down and be marked up for hand quilting. Oh yes, I am thrilled with this one! :o)The size is 96" square. Once all quilted up, washed and dried ... it will not be hanging on the floor any more.

My pattern source: EQ6
My inspiration: all those other basket quilts that have been shown on the web. I believe the original designers are from Blackbird Designs.

Have a great day!

Beautiful - the 9-patches and final border really set it off and make it so special. Have fun quilting it.

Oh my be still my heart! This quilt is drop dead gorgeous - I can't wait to see it quilted.

Would it be a compliment if I were to make one similar?

When DH wants it up on the wall you really know you knocked it out of the park! I'm absolutely pleased myself. I love how you worked the border out and appreciate how you shared that thought process with us. It made this creation all the more fun.

I can't believe you are going to hand quilt this after I've been whining about my basket quilt. But it is beautiful. What a fun happy time you will have. I'll bet it makes your DR look wonderful :).
