Top done and Klosjes

Oopsies were fixed and borders quickly put on .... yes this top is done and can be added to the trunk along with my other tops waiting for quilting. I just love this top, so bright and cheery. There is a wave of klosjes (spools) being made. What started in The Netherlands has quickly spread around the world and I got bitten by the bug. Mine are different (what else is new, eh) and they are being made by English Paper Piecing method. The pattern for this block #3571 can be found on Electronic Quilt Company Block Base.
I'm going to make a wall hanging and these are my squares that will have the circle sewn onto. Another great hand piecing project.
Have a great day!

I love this top as well. I dig that cornerstone fabric. GREAT IDEA. Mental note. I might steal this effect for my Alabama Beauty project that's coming to life as a matter of fact. Huh.

Rose Marie!!! Great to be joining the Klosjes. I want you to know I sat and studied your fabrics. You're a great shopper. :) Now that fabric you're setting your klosjes on has a neat effect. I like it - a lot. Much lovin' this dear friend. Muchly!

Okay sorry just one more thing I forgot. On the cute top. I really like the way you balanced the pink and the lavender. That's a very nice touch. Pleasing to the eye.

The spools look tiny, how small are they?

how very cute, the blocks are adorable. I had fun stitching klosjes today too but the day is not over so maybe I can fit a few more in.

Hi Rose Marie, just found your blog. I am debating whether to join the Klosjes parade :). Yours are so cute. Can you explain your comment about English paper piecing? I love the setting being circular. Your quilts are beautiful. I'll be back.
