Granddaughter's Garden

The borders are finally getting on!  As in, seriously .... they are getting on.  I have hinted/teased you for a while about this top and today is the day.

Last night, the first round of borders (the top is folded in half here) were added:

Now comes the tricky part .... striped borders on the outside.
My desire is to have the corners mitered like this:
If my mind can't get around the math and matching up bit (top/bottom vs. sides are different measurements), the borders will end up like this.  All I know is, my brain will hurt by the time these are on.  Wish me luck!
Have a great day!

You can do it! I have put mitred border on some quilts, even with striped fabrics - and believe me, if mathematically-challenged I can do it, anyone can.

Since it looks as if the stripes are even, then I hope your math works out and they line up. Good luck.
