Too intense ....

Have you ever experienced that feeling when you can feel someone staring at you?

A few weeks ago, my scrap bin got emptied and I've been making these blocks. The last time my scrap bin got sorted, I made a crazy quilt (go here to read the whole story) and that is what is happening again .... except this time .... just blues and reds will be used.
Anyway, getting back to the topic of feelings .... I was very busy working on these crazy blocks when suddenly I just got that feeling that I was being stared at. I looked up from my sewing machine and caught Ashes staring at me. She was hiding in the empty scrap bin and kept staring and staring at me. I had time to reach behind me for my camera, removed the flash mode, took a few shots and she still stared at me.
How intense can she get? Perhaps she thought I couldn't see her in the box? Silly girl!

I'll be showing more photos of my crazy blocks later. Everything will be made from my stash and all my reds will be sewn together for the backing. My aim is to start reducing my stash as much as possible and this is a good start.
Have a great day!

Love the red and blue quilt! I too need to reduce my stash, what a great idea. Check out my blog for information from the Tokyo show and basket quilts. Click on the first Tokyo quilt label that has a (3) next to it!

What a great block Rose Marie..the fabrics and colors are so beautiful..Ashes is so lovely...what a great pictures you took...could be right out of a magazine, so wonderful...maybe she was waiting for you to sent her out of the box...there is something about cats with quilts and boxes...mine always sits in boxes even though there is somewhat in it or on unfinished/finished tops...cats must have bin quilters/patchers in a previous life dont you think?!
greetings Francien.

Love the look of your block. I need to reduce my stash so this inspires me. Thank you.
I love the photo of Ashes. My cat often gets that intense look but it is usually when she is giving me a warning to leave her alone!!

I love your picture of Ashes, it's so funny. I wonder what she was thinking?

I think Ashes was thinking "this is my box now, don't even think about moving me!" Either that or she was trying to understand why you cut up fabric and sew it back together....silly people.

I like your crazy quilt pattern. With that red center makes me think of a log cabin - maybe after a tornado hit it.

That's a great idea, I have some pieces I could use for similar blocks. Love the pic of Ashes, isn't she a hoot!

This looks like a fun block to do, I can easily see how you can get absorbed in sewing it, no wonder Ashes was so intrigued!!

Love what you are making with your stash! I am working on reducing my stash too. It's not easy. Those scraps seem to grow overnight. Cute kitty photo. Mine often hide in boxes too.
