Olympic break

With the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics starting tomorrow, I will be glued to the TV for the next 2 weeks. Since my fingers need something to work on while watching all the play-by-play activities, let me see what will get worked on ....

Marking my red/white challenge quilt and hopefully it can get sandwiched and a bit of hand quilting done ....This little hanging just needs the borders hand quilted and binding put on .....

My Pressed Flowers need borders and applique applied .....

A few more stars added to this top ....

That should do it nicely! See you in 2 weeks ....
Go Team Canada, go!!!!

Love your scrappy snowball! Are you using a washable crayola marker to mark? If so, I may give that a try! I don't have luck with the blue marking markers out there.

Are you marking that with a washable colored marker? I'm not usually happy with whatever item I'm using. Thanks in advance for your answer.

You're hand-quilting your snowballs? That's going to look fabulous! And it will keep you warm while you do it, too, as you watch those guys zoom down the man-made snow-covered hay bales at Whistler! Go Team Canada!

Ive been working on my hexagon quilt while watching some olympic action. Its so handy that the live coverage is 3 hours behind us....so by the time I get home, its in the middle of the afternoon in vancouver.

they are testing out the luge track as I type now. The men are going through a training run from the womens start position. They said they will be doing the final medal run at the womans start as well for saftey reasons.

I, too, am trying to get something ready for handwork while I watch the olympics. I love your little wallhanging, the one with the 9-patch side panel. Too cute.

Scuse me, what about "In-ger-land, In-ger-land, In-ger-land"? Heehee.

I've been stockpiling some bindings to do too while the Olympics are on, but I am so disappointed that there is very little coverage of it here (1hour in the afternoon and 1 in the early evening if we're lucky. They too busy showing it all live, and I am NOT getting up at 2 am to watch!

All your projects that you have lined up, while the Olympics is on, are just beautiful! I am looking forward to seeing what they will look like when the Olympics are over.

The combination of the nine patches and the appliqued flower in the little wall hanging is very striking. The quilting really accents the design. Beautiful!
