My Sweet Dreams top has me at a standstill .... indecision about the borders. There is a 2" pink border that has been sewn on and that is all that got done. I could put on a floral outer border which is the same fabric used in the 9-patch blocks or I could add some prairie points on top of the outer border in green to add some more interest. LuAnn is going to a retreat soon and will take a photo of this quilt that hangs at the retreat location. I'll see what that person did with her quilt and go from there. In the meantime, this top will be just hanging around. So, what do I work on next? After digging through my UFO's, this project is next in line for work. A ton of leaves have been prepped .....
Love your quilts. I am taking a break from packing to read a few blogs. My camera batteries are charged and ready to go!!!!

ReplyDeleteno doubt about it Rose Marie you do the most amazing work....
ReplyDeleteThe prairie point idea sounds good - certainly worth thinking about! The heat of summer will be with you before you know it, those leaves will make a lovely border.

It's a gorgeous top!!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so pretty - both quilts. I made a star quilt similar to yours and man, did I have a problem getting a border on it. I had so much bias I had a mess. So I just stippled it like crazy and finally got it under control.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed your site. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts - sometimes I think it's good to get a little distance from a quilt when you don't know what to do next. I seem to get fresh ideas after a week or two of not thinking about it - either walking in the woods or standing in the shower the answer will suddenly ping into my brain!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog - keep up the good work!!
Another masterpiece on its way, you are amazing, your work is so beautiful.
