Rounding the corner ....

Once this corner is quilted, my klosjes quilt will be close to being 3/4 done. So, for now, I'm just chugging along .... While hand quilting, my thimbles dull my needles and my handy emery board (the kind with foam layer in the middle) is perfect for sticking my needles into to sharpen up and I'm ready to go again.
At the end of every week, I can see progress and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter!

    Ohhh I can't wait to see the finished quilt. It's really coming along beautifully. I have so much respect for women who hand quilt. Learning to hand quilt in on my bucket list and I'm hoping to start teaching myself this year...fingers crossed.

    That is an unusual setting for the Klosjes. I will be looking forward to seeing the finished product. I can tell it is going to be oh so pretty.

    I never realized how small the blocks were until scaled alongside the emery and your thimbles! Oh. my. word!!! :-D I liked the quilt very much before, but now I love it!! LOL What amazing work you have done and are doing! Gorgeous!

    That is going to be such a beautiful quilt when finished! Interesting tip about the needles in the emery board -- they don't get little nicks on them from the emery?

    Thanks for the tip about the emory board. I never realized my needles were getting blunt from the thimble. Makes sense though. I love what you're working on.

    I'm about at that place on the one I'm quilting too. I try to avoid looking at how far I have yet to go. My Mom's pin cushion had a little strawberry on a string that was used for sharpening needles. She said it was an "emery bag" and I've always wondered what was in it because it would be easy to make and handy to have.

    If I remember correct you use washable markers. I ahve bought some and if this is what you use can you let me know. Im alittle afraid to try them.
