Uncle ....

Lately, I have been working on my Dresden Plate quilt again. The binding has been done, the machine quilting is done and all that is needed now is just more applique in the borders. But it has been a struggle ...... When the girls keep on crawling up on top of my quilt, I have to just cry 'uncle' and give them some loving and call it a night. It is not often both the girls are on my lap at the same time, so this shot is a bonus!
Since the summer, 1930's repro fabric have made their way into my stash. Last month, I purchased a jelly roll from Canton Village Quilt Works and ended up winning a FQ pack of these luscious purples from Jackie. How lucky was I???? Thank you, Jackie and I do have an idea for making something out of them.
Have a great day, eh!

  1. I am laughing at you trying to work with your helpers! my cat? he wouldn't sit on my lap if his life depended on it.. he is NOT a snuggly cat..

He is more partial to quilt tops than quilts, must be the climate! what a lovely win!!!

  3. What a great photo of Hank and Ashes (and you, too!). Love seeing that beautiful Dresden plate in the works!!! That quilt is going to feel so good and snuggly after being hand quilted by Rose Marie, Hank and Ashes. Nothing like a hand & paw quilted quilt.

...love those fabrics and can't WAIT to see what delight you come up with. Big Fan, *karendianne.

  17. Wow, RoseMarie, how have I missed so many of your posts. Obviously I am way behind!! You are so welcome for the fat quarters! I am glad you are happy with them. Don't you just love it when the cats lay all over you and you just can't get anything accomplished? They are great!
