This UFO only needed two border blocks and it could have been done ages ago. Oh well, it is done now and this top and another are with my favourite LAer, Kathy.
Borders are starting to go onto my Churn Dash quilt, but no photos of that yet.Early this week, my sister sent this photo of these four deer eating her crab apples. Awesome photo!
This is what we woke up to this morning ...... it will be gone by the weekend as the daytime temps will be in the mid-teens .... but this is just a wee taste of what will come later next month. What makes these photos so interesting is the snow on the leaves! Usually, when we get our first snow, the leaves are off and all we see are bare trees and it looks like Xmas wonderland. You can tell that this snow is early for us this time.
I think this is a good morning to have some Bailey's in our coffee ....
Cherish your day, cherish your life!
How great to have a UFO to this stage and looking so wonderful. Also wonderful to see your pretty Pyramids too. Love to see the deer too. We have not had any snow yet, just two frosts so we are hanging onto autumn for a little while longer it seems. Certainly hope so! Happy Stitching you!
ReplyDeleteA finish is always good no matter how long it takes. Love your photos. It's been cold for 3 nights below freezing, which is mightly early here in the south (Alabama, USA)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt you've just finished. For some reason it makes me think of a game board--which I hope does not offend you. You may have had other images in mind?
ReplyDeleteYour snow photos are awesome. It's amazing to see snow-covered leaves! I don't think we've ever had snow on leaves around here before.
woohoo Bailey's weather! ;) There is just something about cleaning up UFOs that is so satisfying, and your is adorable. I have too many deer...I live out where the kids have the day off from school on the opening day of gun season, no more walks in the woods for the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThe snow does look so pretty, shame it has to be so cold to produce it. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour latest UFO finish looks great.
Oh wow - snow on leaves, something we didn't see when we visited! I suppose those deer are getting food in while it is still to be easily found? That's a very cheerful bright quilt, a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Bailey's weather.Thumbs up for another UFO finish.
ReplyDeleteup in our mountains they got a dusting as well...lovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh my, snow already!! We still have temperatures up to 20oC, a bit crazy for this time of year! Your quilt-top looks amazing! Enjoy your Baileys coffee!
