A bit of quilting is getting done, but not as much since the warmer weather has arrived. Gardening has taken over as well as mask making again for family. This virus is not going away and we will need more masks to wash and wear.
My hexie project is making good progress when I sit down to watch some t.v. Soon, I will be able to start working on the flower sections.
The left side and middle have many rows to assemble in centre of each panel (see the white zig zag lines). Above and below those lines, the rows are complete. The right side just needs the two sections to be sewn together. So progress is happening, but ever so slowly.
This quilt has come back from the LAer and needs a binding sewn on.
I'm in a ho hum kind of mood and seem to have lost my sewing mojo.
For those of you who follow my blog, my sister had her surgery for colon cancer and is in recovery. It was caught early, so that is good news. Next up for me is to help her get a needle every day for a blood thinner. For 28 days. That is something that I've never done and I'm sure it will be stressful the first time I do it, but has to be done. Tomorrow, I will facetime with the hospital nurse for instructions on how to. Should be interesting and another thing that I can tick off my bucket list (even though it was never on it).
So .....
Cherish your day, cherish your life!
Nurse Rose Marie! Do you have to wear a starched white cap? Your hexie quilt is coming along quickly, and it looks like your long armer has done a good job on your star quilt.
