Cool pumpkins

There was a nice cool breeze blowing in through the windows and patio door today and I took advantage of it and did some hand quilting on my pumpkin quilt . Only 3 more pumpkins to finish and then the borders.

A while ago, someone asked how I come up with quilting ideas. In this case, my thoughts were of a farmer's field and rows of planted pumpkin seeds. For the borders, I haven't made any decision yet on what will go there. Once a decision is made, the borders will get marked up and then I will be good to go and finish up this hanging for the fall. A couple of weeks ago, some fabric and buttons were purchased to make a fall jacket. Ashes found the buttons and was having such fun playing with them. If any of the buttons go missing, guess who was responsible?

Have a great day!

  3. I have three cats and they are forever looking for something to get into :) And I looove your pumpkin quilt!! Did you embroider the lines on your pumpkins? Or are they your marked quilting lines? It looks like stitching, but then where do you quilt? Next to the embroidery? Either way - so totally inspiring - makes me wish for a crisp Fall day and a hot cup of tea!!

  5. Kitties have a good time with the sewing accessories, don't they? Our cat goes absolutely bonkers if I lay a quilt out on the floor. She seems to think this is a toy meant especially for her!

  16. Well I don't know who hid the missing buttons, but it couldn't possibly have been Ashes. We have a cat lodger at the moment who steals things like pencils and then sits watching innocently while we hunt for them!
