... and that is the name that I've given my latest finish. It is finally done!
Why 'Charming'? This whole wall hanging was made out of charm squares. I changed the pattern a bit (what else is new, eh?) as all those squares were to be appliqued onto a piece of background fabric so that the fabric showed up as sashing. Too fussy for me. This is a side view so that you can see the hand quilting.
It turned out really nice. That's what's great about sewing and quilting, you don't have to stick with the pattern, you can make it your own and change things.
ReplyDeleteBoth Charming and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh Wowwww. Your hand quilting really stands out in this piece. You've got such a handle on how to do this and show off the piece. Exquisite and quite attractive with the beads as well. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteRose Marie, this is gorgeous! I love the echo quilting around the flowers! So sweet! And the simple "X"/grid in the squares is just right! Very lovely!

ReplyDeleteWhat a good use of charm squares. I have some that would do well for a quilt like this.
ReplyDeleteI also made this small wall hanging and I also changed it by piecing, but I put the small it together with long strips separating the rows. It is on my blog if you would like to see. This was a fun little quilt to make. Yours turned out lovely.I follow you because I also love to hand applique and quilt. We are becoming dinosaurs.
