Marcie was having a giveaway and she flipped a coin between me and another lady and I won these. Talk about my lucky day!
She included a bag with enough fabric to make a few more flowers and from the time this photo was taken, I’ve already completed one flower.
The timing was perfect as I have just completed all the flowers for my hexagon quilt and was looking for some handwork project to start. Yes, perfect timing.
On my previous post I showed my hexagon quilt with my border quandary. Many thanks to all that gave me support and suggestions. Your comments made me re-think my border idea and this is what I’ve come up with. The top border is what I first showed and the mock-up border on the right is what will be. The flower border between the striped fabric has been ordered and as soon as it arrives, I will get my borders on. Thank you, I do appreciate your up-front comments and they were a big help to me.
You are so lucky! I wish you lots of fun with the new hexagons.

ReplyDeleteThat Marcie, she's a real keeper! What cool stuff you won. :) I love her patterns, too.
ReplyDeleteyour hexagons are looking great.......
ReplyDeleteLucky you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win!
ReplyDeleteI popped over from Marcie's blog to see what you are doing with the hexagons! Lucky you to win some already made up.
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog and love your writing style. Keep up the good work with the hexagons. I'm knee deep in hexagons at the moment as well :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, what a fantastic win. And I like the new border on your quilt.
ReplyDeleteComplimenti. Anch'io stò facendo una coperta simile.
ReplyDeleteInteresting way of finishing the hexagonal quilt - and a different way to assemble them too. Mine is more than half done but I mostly work on them when I am in the car. They will go to the beach too but the bindings come first since two of those will be in our show in July - that's certainly an incentive to finish them!
