While still working on my UFO’s, I’ve decided to start a small project. With all the new TV programs starting up, this is a perfect project to work on. It is amazing what can get done during commercials.I found this block in my EQ6 program. It is being hand pieced and that method is something that I have discovered that I just love doing! :o)
Perhaps next week will see more of this done.

I have to agree with you about hand piecing - I love sitting watching TV, curled up by the fire over the winter months with lots of marked pattern pieces ready for sewing - so much more satisfying than sitting at the machine - thats why my Round Robin top is 100% hand pieced

Ooh - nothing as exciting as a new project. I love my hand work too. I never sew at the machine in the evenings - park my bum in my comfy chair and off I go - lol !
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I had hand pieced but do have a project waiting in my UFO pile that will need that technique. Your pattern is cute a great little winter blues quilt. Will you do any blue work in the white areas? or just show off your wonderful hand quilting...

I do love hand work, but not handpiecing unless it is English Paper Piecing. I did some of that with my Dear Jane quilt - hand pieced the first 6 rows of blocks and discovered I really do not like it, lol. Now hand applique, quilting, embroidery....I am there!
