While still working on my UFO’s, I’ve decided to start a small project. With all the new TV programs starting up, this is a perfect project to work on. It is amazing what can get done during commercials.
I found this block in my EQ6 program. It is being hand pieced and that method is something that I have discovered that I just love doing! :o)
Perhaps next week will see more of this done.
Have a great day!
I have to agree with you about hand piecing - I love sitting watching TV, curled up by the fire over the winter months with lots of marked pattern pieces ready for sewing - so much more satisfying than sitting at the machine - thats why my Round Robin top is 100% hand pieced
ReplyDeleteThis year I have discovered how much sewing can be done while watching TV. Your block will be lovely, the colours are great.
ReplyDeleteI usually have my hands busy sewing something too as I watch TV. Can't wait to see more of your project as it unfolds!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love hand piecing and quilting! Your little quilts are lovely. I recently made my first mini quilt and was surprised at just how much work there was involved!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment on my blog :o)

Hi , Thanks for your visit and your nice comment, you have a great blog, I also like hand piecing and quilting, to watch tv while piecing or quilting is great. :)
ReplyDeleteBlue is a great colour its going to be wonderfull when done,
ReplyDeleteYes Autum tv is a warm welcome after the summer shows, there is to many repeats on our channels.
Ooh - nothing as exciting as a new project. I love my hand work too. I never sew at the machine in the evenings - park my bum in my comfy chair and off I go - lol !
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I had hand pieced but do have a project waiting in my UFO pile that will need that technique. Your pattern is cute a great little winter blues quilt. Will you do any blue work in the white areas? or just show off your wonderful hand quilting...
ReplyDeleteHola Rose Mary !!

I love hand-piecing too and that looks like a gorgeous project!
ReplyDeleteWell then, perhaps next week I'll have an extra big smile on my face!

I am having so much fun doing had piecing. I wish I had tried it years ago!
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog and enter the giveaway that starts tomorrow. There are about 40 people involved in giving away quilt related items. Good luck!
I do love hand work, but not handpiecing unless it is English Paper Piecing. I did some of that with my Dear Jane quilt - hand pieced the first 6 rows of blocks and discovered I really do not like it, lol. Now hand applique, quilting, embroidery....I am there!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun pattern to do hand piecing. I am hand quilting a quilt right now and then would like to give hand piecing a try. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to start a new project Rose Marie and this one looks interesting...
