Meet Ashes. She is a ragamuffin and is adorable. Her domain is my sewing room and all I need to do is get within a foot of her and she starts to purr. Yesterday, I was trying to pin the stems for my Four Seasons Spring quilt and she was ready and willing to assist me; but it was more like ‘get in her way’ attitude. So, whoever receives this mini, if the stems are a bit crooked, blame Ashes
Meet Hank. SHE is a female and why her name is Hank, we don’t know. We are her 3rd. set of humans to have her. Hank started life in Scotland and has made her way to us here in Canada. Hank is my bed-making assistant and very, very friendly.
So, with these two beauties around, there is not much quilting going on lately (I did get my Winter quilt finished and will show that to you next week). We are spending time getting acquainted with each other and having fun in the process.
During the past few years when I’ve been browsing through all the quilt blogs, I would chuckle at all the photos of cats helping out. Now it is your turn to chuckle with mine.
Have a great day!

Nice of you to take them in. Cats can be real pests but at the same time very entertaining and great company. I just love the quilt that Hank is sitting on.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are beautiful. They look like they will be a lot of help. I have the same problem with my kitties. They are too cute. Why are cats attracted to sewing projects? Makes you wonder.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have two kitty helpers! They are such super company and so entertaining -- and make for some interesting quilt designs if you lay something out on the floor and they come to "help". :-)
ReplyDeleteCathi
What fun! I don't know what it is about cats and fabric!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes they are always welcome to help.
ReplyDeleteVery nice new kitties. They both look very helpful. My Misty helps me make the bed every morning too. :cD
ReplyDeleteWell Ashes and Hank have settled in by the look of things...such great company.
ReplyDeleteYour new family is so cute. Such good helpers!
ReplyDeleteI have a BIG helper, my dog, it is so much fun to have these animals around. You are so sweet to take them into your family and of course lucky for having them as helpers.
ReplyDeleteSimon and Schuster are pleased to meet Hank and Ashes! The more blog kitties the better! Nice of you to take both of them in, very nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd those kitties certainly look beautiful against your quilts! (Of course your quilt doesn't need a kitty to make it more beautiful!) That blue bed cover is stunning!
ReplyDeleteJasper and Annie send their meows of welcome to your new cats. They are beautiful and will bring you lots of smiles and happiness.
ReplyDeleteIndeed I did chuckle. :)
ReplyDeleteHi again..
ReplyDeleteI realy love this quilt and the blue fabrics are awesome.
Love your bag too. Have a nice weekend and I hear that you summer in Toronto now. Lucky you. ( My husband was there last week)
Lucky you to have 2 new feline helpers in the house. I'd love to have an inside cat but my other half doesn't like them.
ReplyDeleteHello Ashes and Hank. Looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of you in your new roles as quilting inspectors. Pets and quilts go so well together.
