Here is another quilt that was auctioned off for our Guild’s Mini Auction last year. An elderly member of Guild made two blocks but needed help for the quilting. I volunteered to quilt this block for her.
When you click onto the photo, on the vertical lines, you will see some crystals scattered throughout.
I have had my fill of 3-D flowers and this will probably be it for this style of quilt. They were fun to do, but the time has come to move on to other things.
Have a great day!
Cute little quilt! I did some 3-D quilting a few years ago too. Fun but that was it. It's interesting how my tastes change each year. Some years I do paper-piecing. Other years, it's been bargello. This year...WONKY!
ReplyDeleteHaven't done 3-D yet. Yours is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove the little crystals added in to the quilting. I know what you mean about being "over" a technique or a style for at least awhile. I tend to go through spurts where one thing is more appealing than others. Whatever you decide is next -- can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteWhen I go to a guild show I can usually figure out who or what workshop they have had in the past year by the quilts on display! Nice applique! I love bits of shiney things on wallhangings...
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are all so beautiful. I plan to come back and take a more leisurely look soon
ReplyDeleteThe tridimensional flowers are beautiful and I love the idea of putting cristals on the quilting
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having to move on to different techniques! I dabble in lots of different projects to prevent boredom.
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I agree, scrap quilts are the best! I am now a scrap collector and a fabric collector. (what next?)
Oh! I like these folded flowers! And also the flowers in the previous post! simply beautiful
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! And the crystals add such nice sparkle.
ReplyDeletebeautiful! I did some 3D flowers, I love them, especially on bags!
