My GM made utility quilts...mostly string and crazy patch...from the scraps of her homemade polyester double knit dresses. No batting, foundation pieced, southern warm-weather utility quilts meant to be used and used up! The colors on the last quilt are even similar to hers. Thanks for the memory stroll.

In stitches,
Teresa :o)Teresa Rawsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12198469746467771421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5857159863423586587.post-87622768350590738882012-04-02T12:25:08.451-04:002012-04-02T12:25:08.451-04:00I really like the crazy quilt!I really like the crazy quilt!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01308680396802432722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5857159863423586587.post-13704938913399964782012-04-02T09:43:13.715-04:002012-04-02T09:43:13.715-04:00You have obviously inspired her and now she has he...You have obviously inspired her and now she has her own very lovely quilts. The poly still looks like new compared to the worn edges of the cotton fabric she used on the border and binding. I love when quilter's use what they have on hand, and the quilts reflect an era.Carla A Few Of My Favorite Thingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782840958923418159noreply@blogger.com
